JAMMU, Sept 21: Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, senior BJP and KP leader and incharge Department of Political Feedback, BJP-J&K has expressed his utmost optimism over the statement of the LG regarding peace in Kashmir.
He said, “This gives me immense happiness and satisfaction that the Government has finally expressed its resolve, publicly, that it won’t buy peace in Jammu and Kashmir. This statement is a great reassurance to the nationalist constituency in Jammu and Kashmir which states unambiguously that there was a time when attempt was made to buy peace but with change in the situation there has been a shift in the policy as well’’.
He said LG’s statement that all those involved in anti-national activities or trying to create hurdles in peace will be strictly dealt with and no one will be allowed to harm unity and sovereignty of the country has created a sense of security and confidence among the nationalist people in the UT.
Chrungoo showed great confidence in LG’s statement ‘that the Kashmiri Pandits, who were driven away from Kashmir by Pakistan-sponsored terrorism in 1989-90, leaving behind their homes and hearths, will get back their property within a time limit’, and ‘the Government will help them to get their property within a timeframe and resettle them”as culture of Kashmir is incomplete without Kashmiri Pandits’.
The BJP leader expressed his gratitude to Lt Governor on behalf of the displaced Kashmiri Pandits for these positive assertions.
Chrungoo also appealed the LG to consider the demand of package employees and relief holders.
