JAMMU, June 22: The long-awaited Digital Movie Theatre is set to officially launch in Kishtwar tomorrow by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in presence of various other dignitaries. The cinema theatre’s inauguration will feature infotainment movies for children at 10 am.
This momentous occasion marks a significant milestone for the people of Kishtwar, particularly the youth who have eagerly anticipated the arrival of a cinema in their town.
The Digital Movie Theatre, built to PVR quality standards, boasts 120 luxurious reclining seats, an HD quality screen, and a state-of-the-art sound system, guaranteeing a top-notch cinematic experience for the residents of this hilly district.
Moreover, the introduction of this cinema is poised to contribute significantly to the tourism sector in the area, augmenting the natural beauty of district Kishtwar with a premium entertainment experience.
The absence of a cinema hall in Kishtwar was a void that existed for decades since a privately-owned theatre was targeted by terrorists in the 1990s. However, this new development, a government-run initiative, signifies a remarkable turnaround for the town’s entertainment landscape.
