LADAKH, Aug 31: Week-long grand event to commemorate the golden jubilee of battle honour Turtuk organized by Ladakh Scouts Regiment Center (LSRC) concluded at Leh.
KK Gandhi, an internationally acclaimed artist famous for his live painting, had exclusively been invited to participate in all the functions which included Darbar function, excellent display by the drummers, sworning Vijay Mashal parade, laying of wreath ceremony to martyrs, bike rally flag off, unveiling of ceremonial things, functions for families and sky show.
As a special honour, KK Gandhi’s masterpiece painting which was created live titled “Land of Buddha” was unveiled by Lt Governor RK Mathur, who also facilitated KK Gandhi by presenting him with a “Battle of Honour” medal in recognition of his magical live art skill.
At the facilitation function Army Commander Northern Command, GOC 14 Corps, GOC Sub Area, Major General besides all other senior officers and ranks were present to grace the event.
Later, the painting of the KK Gandhi was permanently installed in the museum of the Center.
