KARGIL, Jan 1: The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) today celebrated the New Year with Army Jawans at 121 Mountain, Kargil Sentinels Brigade at Kargil.
Speaking on the occasion, LG extended his wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year.
He praised the Army Jawans for their unwavering dedication to serving the nation under extreme conditions, including low oxygen levels and harsh cold climates.
The LG said, “The nation should honour and remember Army Jawans not only during challenging times, but also in times of peace adding it is their sacrifices and hardships that allow the nation to rest peacefully.”
He advised Army Jawans to keep up their courage, determination and focus on achieving their goals.
The LG further reiterated that while they are brave and gallant, they also uphold the good name of their cherished family members, as a father, a brother, a son and a husband.
Later the sweets were distributed among the Army Jawans and local public representatives.
