Sir,
Mastermind of the terrorist attack on the Parliament, to my mind, does not deserve any mention in the Indian mind and the media.
But, what has happened is not something we should be happy about if it was a selective hanging. Instead of debating his execution till the cows come home, the challenge is to ensure that no Afzal Guru is born and no execution is necessitated.
A terrorist, no matter which place he comes from and who he is, must be punished severely and speedily so that the society lives in peace.
What is in the best interest of the Valley, peace, terrorism or both? We have been living with both for long. Let us now live with peace for a change, at least for that long.
