DODA, Oct 20: Panic gripped after a leopard entered into Balwana village and killed 10 sheep and goats.
As per sources, a leopard reportedly attacked a herd of sheep and goats killing 10 of them in Gujjar Basti hamlet of village Balwana in Tehsil Mohalla of District Doda triggering fear among the villagers.
The sheep belonged to Mohammad Ismail Gujjar, son of Noor Din, resident of Gujjar Basti, village Balwana.
The villagers alleged that the Wildlife Department authorities have failed to take action despite informing them about the presence of leopards in the area.
The village urged the District Administration to grant compensation to the owner of the sheep and goats.
