MENDHAR, Mar 1: A leopard stormed into a cattle shed of a villager and killed 17 sheep and four goats in Balakote area last night.
Reports said a full grown leopard entered into the cattle- shed of one Mohd Razak, son of Hussain Khan at Darati hamlet in Balakote last night and killed 17 sheep and four goats. The wild beast also injured about half a dozen animals. The villager informed police in the morning. The police and a veterinary team was deputed to the area. The matter has been brought to the notice of Wild Life Department.
It is pertinent to mention here that about a week back, the same leopard had attacked three horses and caused injuries to them at the same village. The people are terrorized over the incidents.
