While addressing a press conference, here today, the Taxi Union President Thinless Namgial drew attention towards alleged pick up and drop of tourists from Airport by some private vehicles, which was affecting the Leh Taxi operators.
“We have already met with SP Traffic in this regards and he has assured to take necessary action,” he added.
The Taxi Union President said that they had deposited Rs 50 thousands as security bond for Airport Parking tender last year, but the Airport Authority of India ( AAI) has still not returned the deposited security amount for the no reasons.
He warned that if the security amount is not returned within seven days, the Taxi operators will have no option other than to protest.
