Sir,
Today we live in a society characterised by rationality and legality. In our day to day life every social action carries with it a legal connotation in one or the form. Law as an important social institution, as such, plays a crucial role in todays society.
Unfortunately due to poor dissemination of legal information, common people fall easy prey to unscrupulous agents who exploit them on one or the other pretext.
In every sphere whether it is the consumption of medicine, essential commodities, paying matador charges, doctors fee tuition fee et all, everytime some kind of legality is involved.
Common people in general are ignored about their consumer rights because of paucity of legal information. People do not have knowledge about various acts and the amount of punishment attached to these acts.
There is a dire need of sustained effort to disseminate legal information to the people on regular basis to enlighten and educate people. A legal culture has to be promoted in the society to make it a rational, crime free, corruption free society. Electronic and print media have a crucial role to play in this context. Legal personalities, NGO’s and other social organisations can also contribute in their own way.
Yours etc…..
