KATHUA, Sept 16: A legal awareness camp was organized under the aegis of Jatinder Singh Jamwal, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kathua.
The camp was organized by Aarti Mohan, Secretary DLSA Kathua in collaboration with Chief Education Officer Kathua at Government Higher Secondary School Barwal on the theme ‘Rain water harvesting’.
The aim of organizing the camp was to make the students aware about rain water harvesting and its role in conservation of water.
While speaking, Sumit Jasrotia Retainer Lawyer enlightened the students regarding the problems of fresh water scarcity and strategy to improve efficiency of water supply system. She also apprised them about the pragmatic solutions for efficient rural water supply like rain water harvesting, conservation of supplied water, ground water recharge, etc.
Staff of Government Higher Secondary Barwal along with large number of students participated in the camp.
The camp was also attended by Para Legal volunteers of DLSA and TLSC Kathua.
In the end, Rakesh Jasrotia, Principal Government Higher Secondary School Barwal presented vote of thanks.
Meanwhile, the legal awareness camps on rain water harvesting was also organized by TLSC Hiranagar and Bani at GHSS Chadwal and GHSS Bani respectively.
