Scores of lecturers assembled at Press Enclave here and raised slogans in favor of the demands. The protestors were carrying placard and banners that read: “Safe and secure policy” and “Stop Exploitation”. They alleged that last BJP-PDP coalition failed to address their demands despite promising to do so, “two years back, they promised regularization of our services but failed to do so,” a protestor said, adding despite approaching the higher authorities, the issue has not been resolved yet.
The lecturers said that they have pinned their hopes with the Governor administration, “we urge the Governor, Satya Pal Malik, to resolve our issues at the earlier,” a protestor said.
