Lecture organized on career counseling, placement

JAMMU, Feb 14: An extension lecture consisting of two sessions was today organised in Government College of Education, Canal Road Jammu by Centre of Information Carrier Counseling and Placement Cell in the College premises.
Addressing, Dr Lokesh K Verma, spoke about relevance of choice based credit system in higher education. In second session, a detailed discussion was held on career options available for M Ed and B Ed students in the State.
The presentation was followed by an interactive session in which a number of career related queries were made by the participants, which were answered by the resource person in simple and effective manner.
Earlier, Prof Ajeet Angral, Principal of the College appreciated the efforts of counseling club of the college and advised the students to take maximum benefits from such type of programmes being organised by the club.
Prof Raj Singh, HoD M Ed programme presented the key note address in which he highlighted significance of the extension lecture. Prof Neelam Dhar, convenor of the Career Counseling Centre disclosed that Dr Rajinder Kour, Dr Piyali Arora and Prof Rubina Yasmeen will organise more placement drives related with career options in future.
Prof CL Shivgotra, a senior faculty member, presented vote of thanks while Ms Rajni Sharma, an M Ed student compared the programme.
