Lecture on ‘Role of Arts and Culture in context of Viksit Bharat@2047’ organised

JAMMU, Dec 15: An Interactive Lecture on the topic ‘Role of Arts and Culture in context of Viksit Bharat’ was held here today.
The University of Jammu, under the stewardship of Prof. Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor is organising several activities in this context for the larger participation of the youth in this noble mission.
The activities are being monitored by Prof. Pankaj K. Srivastava, Director DD&OE.
Viksit Bharat@2047 is the vision of Prime Minister of India to make India a developed Nation by 2047, the 100th year of its independence. The vision encompasses various aspects of development, including economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability, and good governance.
Speaking on the occasion, Balwant Thakur asserted the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 as a much needed giant leap towards regaining the glory of India as it was in ancient times. During the Amrit Kaal, when the Nation is going to celebrate its 100 years of independence in 2047, we shall make India a developed Nation in all aspects which includes infrastructural growth of the country and Intellectual growth of its citizens which is possible through revisiting our glorious past and Art and Culture can play a vital role in it.
Earlier, in her address, Prof. Monika Chadha informed that, it is important to realise that tremendous dedication and belief in India’s destiny, immense desire, potential, talent and capabilities of the Indians, especially the youth, coupled with steadfast leadership, is necessary to realise this potential.
She also urged the students to register at Mygov.in and share their ideas for Viksit Bharat @2047.
Among others who were present on the occasion included Kulbhushan Thakur, Balwant Slathia, RP Singh, Arif Paul, Sachin Sharma and Cultural Representatives Kanya Sharma, Suriya Banoo, Bipasha Raina, Rishika Sharma, Angraaz Singh and Sunny Singh.
