Lead futures turn weak, low domestic demand a drag

NEW DELHI, June 15:  Lead fell 0.38 per cent to Rs 118.80 per kg in futures trade today after participants reduced exposure amid a weak trend overseas and sluggish domestic demand.
At Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in current month contracts was trading 45 paise, or 0.38 per cent, down at Rs 118.80 per kg in a business turnover of 56 lots.
Analysts said besides weak demand from battery-makers in the domestic spot market, weakness in base metals at the London Metal Exchange weighed on lead futures here. (PTI)
