NEW DELHI, Aug 22: Lead futures rose to Rs 143.10 per kg today on the back of rising spot demand and positive cues from global markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in September traded higher by 30 paise, or 0.21 per cent, at Rs 143.10 per kg, with a turnover of nine lots.
The metal for delivery in August also rose by 25 paise, or 0.18 per cent, to trade at Rs 142.85 per kg in a business turnover of 118 lots.
Market analysts said apart from strong domestic demand from battery-makers, a firm trend at the London Metal Exchange on strong US home sales data influenced lead prices at futures trade here. (PTI)
