Lead futures remain up on rising demand

NEW DELHI, June 13: Lead prices advanced by 0.15 per cent to Rs 166.80 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged their positions positions, driven by rising demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in June  month edged up by 25 paise, or 0.15 per cent to Rs 166.80 per kg  in business turnover of 472 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in July contract was trading higher by 5 paise, or 0.03 per cent to Rs 167.55 per kg in 3 lots.
Analysts said expanding of positions by traders on the back of surging demand from battery-makers in the physical market mainly kept lead prices higher at futures trade. (PTI)
