LEH, Dec 29: The newly constructed Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) Youth Wing office complex was inaugurated on the eve of the beginning of Ladakhi Losar (New Year) celebration, here.
LBA President Tsewang Thinles inaugurated the newly built office complex in presence of youth members headed by President Rinchen Namgyal.
To celebrate the occasion cake cutting ceremony held followed by serving local dish which like pasta “Ghu-Thuk”, a tradition of preparing this special dish with nine ingredients in every home on the auspicious beginning of Losar.
All members including various Tsogspa heads present during the inaugural ceremony presented traditional Khataks to the office bearers and said that such office would inspire them to work more dedicatedly and enthusiastically for the welfare of public.
LBA Vice President PT Kunzang, General Secretary Sonam Dawa, Youth Vice President Konchok Ishey Stak, Youth General Secretary Tsewang Dorjay Daya and women executive members were also present on the occasion.
President Tsewang Thinles dedicated the building to entire Ladakhis and urged that every Ladakhi must treat this building as their own property to take care of it.
Earlier, Youth President Rinchen Namgyal highlighted the voluntarily contribution of all stakeholder including former youth President Dr CP Dorjay, Engineer Wangyal Tsering, Engineer Angchok Hornak and others members in the construction of this office. He added that such building was need of the hour to carry out various activities of LBA and it will inspire the youth to work in more zeal and commitment. He hoped that coming New Year will bring peace, prosperity and communal harmony in the whole Ladakh region and the entire world.
