LAWDA Insp arrested by SVO

JAMMU, Mar 8: The State Vigilance Organization (SVO) Kashmir today arrested Enforcement Inspector, Lakes and Water Development Authority (LAWDA), Srinagar, Ishrat Aslam Darzi for his involvement in managing two separate building permissions on the name of his mother Farooqa Aslam for construction of Garages, servant quarters and compound wall towards Nullah on a plot at Gupt Ganga, Nishat.
He was booked under FIR No. 14/2016 under Sections 109, 188 and 120-B RPC.
He had constructed two storied residential house at Gupt Ganga and the constructions were carried in total violation with respect to parameters approved in the building permission.
Ishrat Aslam Darzi by abuse of his official position while being posted in LAWDA (Enforcement wing) in violation and total disregard of the approved building permissions had managed these huge constructions and conferred undue advantage upon himself and his mother Farooqa Aslam.
The further investigation into the case is on, official sources said.
They said that the officer was also involved in another case FIR No 48/2015 of Vigilance Organization Kashmir, which was registered regarding construction of some structures/buildings in violation of building permissions around Dal lake during his posting as Enforcement Inspector in the LAWDA.
