LAWDA demolishes illegal structures along Dal, Nageen

SRINAGAR, Aug 1: The enforcement wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Lakes and Water Development Authority (LAWDA) has started a demolition drive against all illegal encroachments and constructions within the jurisdictions of Dal and Nageen lakes.
The demolitions have been carried along Foreshore road, Gupt Ganga Ishber, Cheshmashahi near botanical garden and inside Dal.
A restaurant namely ‘Jeel View’ which had illegally come up at NFR was demolished by the enforcement wing besides a shop near Botanical garden and a wooden hut inside Dal. Moreover, four illegal structures were sealed at Buchwara Dalgate, Brein and Ishbar area.
Meanwhile, several tippers were also seized and FIR lodged against the owners.
