JAMMU, Apr 13: Police today conducted raids across the Jammu and Samba districts, detaining several individuals suspected of being linked to notorious criminal Gulzar Ahmad alias Lau Gujjar’s drug syndicate.

Sources said the raids were conducted by joint teams of Bishnah, Arnia, Miran Sahib, and RS Pura police stations at Sarore area in Bari Brahamana and Chak Waziro area in Bishnah.
During the raids, they said, Lau Gujjar’s family members, including his father, wife, and some other individuals allegedly linked to his narcotics operations and other criminal networks spanned across Jammu and Kashmir and other States, were detained.
They were later taken to Police Station Bishnah, where they are being interrogated further, sources said.
Meanwhile, in a related development, a local court has granted police a 10-day remand of Lau Gujjar for questioning in connection with a separate case.
