The disgruntled diploma engineers of Jammu region who have completed their engineering in different streams request the Govt for lateral admission in various Engineering Colleges in Jammu region. The file for approval to this effect is lying in Higher Education Department since Sept. 2014. The system of lateral admission system is prevelent in Kashmir province only adopted by Kashmir University on the approval by the State Government to avoid girls students of Jammu region from going to other States for admission for further studies, it is necessary that lateral admission process be started in Jammu region as well.
