JAMMU, July 26: A meeting of the residents of Ward No 25 was held here today under the chairmanship of Vijay Kumar Gandotra, wherein the participants expressed concern over the bad condition of lanes and drains due to laxity of safai karamcharis.
The residents alleged that there are heaps of garbage here and there in the lanes of Ward No 25 particularly in Bharat Nagar while the drains have been choked due to accumulation of garbage, as the safai karamcharis who are responsible for cleanliness of the area seldom come though there is two-time roster duty of every safai karamchari.
They urged the concerned authorities to take immediate action against the concerned safai karamcharis for the welfare of the people of the area.
