JAMMU, Oct 28: A lane near Pir Kho in Ward No. 3 of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) has caved in, posing serious threat to the two nearby houses.
Reports said that during recent rains a lane near Pir Kho Dakki suddenly caved in. The house of one Yogesh Joshi and another adjoining one, have come under serious threat. Even the large drain coming from Old City locality has also collapsed and the Nallah water is falling in the collapsed portion. It has further widened the damaged part of Dakki.
The families approached concerned JMC authorities, District Administration Jammu and even uploaded their grievance at the Govt portal/ LG’s office at Civil Secretariat but nothing has been done so far in this regard. DC Jammu had forwarded the message/ grievance to the Executive Engineer, JMC Div -Ist but action on the part of JMC is yet awaited. The aggrieved families have sought intervention of Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha into the matter as they fear tragedy any time.
