JAMMU, Aug 4: Minister for Health and Medical Education, ARI, Trainings, Choudhary Lal Singh today visited Primary Health Centre at Pargwal in Khour block and inspected healthcare facilities being provided to the people of the area.
He directed the officers to provide quality and hassle free services to the border people so that they could avoid to come Jammu city for their treatment.
The Minister underlined the need to start evening OPDs in order to provide additional facility to the ailing people. He also enjoined upon them to strengthen Emergency Ward by making availability of additional staff and other required items including sufficient stock of medicines which will further add to healthcare for the patients.
Exhorting upon medicos and paramedics to be more responsive and prompt towards patient care, Ch Lal Singh urged them to ensure that visiting people in the hospitals are not made to wait unnecessarily for treatment.
Ch Lal Singh took stock of various services being extended to the patients in the hospital and directed the concerned to devise an effective mechanism to deal with patients in the hospitals.
Later, the Minister also conducted public grievances redressal camp at Pargwal and assessed their genuine problems.
