Lakhanpur police foils bovine smuggling bid, rescues 26 animals

KATHUA, Nov 18: In continuation drive to thwart the illegal activities of bovine smugglers, a police team of Police Station Lakhanpur succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling bid and rescued 26 bovine animals, seized one truck and a Canter.
Police team led by Inspector, Sanjeev Singh Chib, SHO Police Station, Lakhanpur during Naka checking at Bye Pass road Lakhanpur intercepted one truck and a Canter bearing Registration Numbers UP44T/5547 and UK18CA/3985 respectively. On checking, it was found that they were illegally carrying bovine animals.
Police seized the vehicles and registered case FIR No. 103/2020 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act against driver of truck bearing registration Number UP44T/5547 namely Mustifa, S/O Mushraf R/O Tanda Badely tehsil Tanda district Rampur UP and his associate namely Waidh S/O Payara R/O Tanda Badely tehsil Tanda district Ramnagar UP and rescued 14 bovine animals.
Moreover, FIR No. 102/2020 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act against driver of Canter bearing Registration Number, UK18CA/3985 namely Suresh Singh Bandral, S/o Ram Saran Singh, R/o Nagena Bijnore Tanda tehsil Nagena district Bijnore UP and his associate namely Shanelam S/o Mohd Quadir R/o Thalia Fears district Muradabadh UP and rescued 12 bovines. Further investigation into the cases is going on.
