LEH, June 13: The LAHDC, Leh honoured the Ladakh Scouts Regiment with a souvenir and citation at Sindhu Sanskriti Hall yesterday evening on their Golden Jubilee celebrations. Top ranked Army and Para Military Officers headed by Chief of Staff 14 Corps Major General Sanjay Kulkarni, Justice of High Court Rajasthan Mohd Rafiq, Justice of High Court Delhi M.L.Mehta, Minister for Urban Development Nawang Rigzin Jora, Tourism Minister G.A.Mir, Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC, Kargil Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan, Executive Councilors of LAHDC Leh and Kargil, Deputy Commissioners, Leh and Kargil, SSP Leh, Councilors of LAHDC Leh, Member State Women Mission Authority J&K Tsering Angmo, former Ambassador of India to Kyrgyzstan Prof. Punchok Stobdan, former MP P.Namgail, MLC Leh Norboo Gyalson and various religious and political heads were present on the occasion.
The CEC LAHDC, Leh Rigzen Spalbar in his welcome address on behalf of the people of Ladakh extended his heartiest felicitation to Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre on their Golden Jubilee celebrations. He said, “we are proud of an Indian and we are also proud of our grade soldiers specially the braved soldiers of Ladakh Scouts.” Referring to the civil and army relation in a strategic part of the country, the CEC expressed his gratitude to Indian Army, Air Force, BRO and Para military forces. He said that during the unprecedented flash flood in 2010 fordces rendered their tireless service in rescuing precious human life and public property.
A colorful cultural programmes was also presented on the occasion followed by souvenirs and citation ceremony to Ladakh Scout Regiment, Chief of Staff 14 Corps, Indian Air Force, BRO and ITBP.
