KATHUA, May 29: The residents of far flung village Ladoli in Billawar area are facing the acute shortage of drinking water and forced to collect the muddy water from natural resources.
The residents of Ladoli led by Mukhtyar Singh visited DC office Kathua today to highlights their burning issue of drinking water scarcity. He said that there is total drinking water scarcity in the village which has been cause of concern among the people. There is no arrangement of water supply by PHE Department and water supply and natural resources have also gone dry.
He said the women carry the pots on their heads and walk three to four miles to collect the water from natural resources outside the village. He said the successive Governments after the independence have failed to solve this problem. He has appealed the Government to make arrangements of drinking water failing which the people will be forced to take to streets.
