Ladies gang involved in purse snatching busted, 2 arrested

JAMMU, May 6: Nehru Market police busted a gang involved in snatching of purse in crowded areas and arrested two ladies.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Ashok Sharma, son of Dev Sharan of Nanak Nagar with Nehru Market Police Post that some unidentified persons had snatched his Rs 19,500 cash near Bikram Chowk.
Acting swiftly, police team conducted raids and arrested two ladies and recovered the stolen cash from their possession.
The accused ladies have been identified as Tayima, wife of Imtiyaz and Muskaan, wife of Altaf, both residents of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, at present near Railway Station Jammu.
Both the ladies are associates of a gang involved in snatching of purse from the persons in the crowded areas.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered against them at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigation started to arrest the other associates of the gang.
Police team led by Incharge Nehru Market Police Post SI Kunal busted the gang under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
