Ladakh UT to follow GoI instructions on Tibetans: LG

LEH, Feb 24: Lieutenant Governor, Ladakh, Radha Krishna Mathur today said that the UT Administration shall endeavour to follow Government of India instructions regarding Tibetans domiciled in India.
Presiding over as chief guest during Losar function organized by Sonamling Tibetan Settlement Leh at Hotel Grand Dragon, the LG appreciated the richness of tradition and culture of Tibetans living in India. The function began with Lt Governor Mathur lighting the butter lamp.
Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) LAHDC Leh Gyal P Wangyal was the guest of honour while Executive Councillor Agriculture LAHDC Leh Phuntsog Stanzin, Member Parliament Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, IGP Ladakh SS Khandare, and other personalities of the society were also present.
Wangyal greeting the Tibetan brethren on Losar on behalf of the entire population of Ladakh talked in detail about the cordial and peaceful co-existence of Tibetans in Ladakh.
MP Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal also greeted the Tibetan people and assured his every possible assistance.
Earlier, Chief Representative Officer, Sonamling Tibetan Settlement Tsetan Wangchuk, in his welcome address, expressed gratitude to the Government of India for her continuous generous support.
