JAMMU, Mar 25: BJP Lok Sabha member from Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgayal accompanied by All Ladakh Guest House and Hotel Association leader Skarma T Delex and others today called on Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and discussed with her issues pertaining to trade and travel fraternity of Ladakh.
The Ladakh delegation reportedly briefed the Finance Minister about tourism potential in the Union Territory and steps required for tapping it to the full so that maximum tourists visit the area which will benefit those connected with the tourism industry.
They also briefed the Finance Minister about problems being faced by Ladakh’s Hotels and Lodges due to very less number of tourists visiting the Union Territory last year because of COVID pandemic.
Sitharaman reportedly assured the delegation to address their issues.
