JAMMU, Jan 25: The Union Territory Administration of Ladakh has announced the 3rd State Awards in different fields of excellence to be awarded on Republic Day, 2023.
As per an official communication, the State Award in the field of literature has been awarded to Kacho Asfandyar Khan of Yokma Kharbo, Kargil while the award in the field of Social Reforms, Empowerment and Environment Protection has been awarded to Dr Nordan Otzer of Leh.
The award in Public Service (Gazetted category) has been awarded to Dr Zakir Hussain, Block Veterinary Officer, Kargil, Sheep Husbandry Department with Additional charge of Deputy Registrar Cooperative Kargil of Drass, Kargil.
The award in Public Service (Non-Gazetted category) has been awarded to Tsering Dolma, Weaving Assistant (Retired), Handloom Department, Leh of Choglamsar, Leh and the award in Public Service (Organization) has been awarded to Ladakh Police (Provision Branch) Headed by Sonam Dechen, JKPS, AIG, Ladakh.
Meanwhile, the award in sports (mountaineering category) has been awarded to Jigmat Tharchin of Tia, Leh amd the award in entrepreneurship (organisation) has been awarded to M/s Namza, Zangsti Road, Leh.
Pertinently, all the State awardees shall be presented with a cash award of Rs 51000, a medal, and a citation in a functional to be organised separately.
