KISHTWAR, Jan 25: A middle aged labourer died after a shooting stone hit him while he was working on Dadpath-Kuchhan road, today.
According to police sources, Bashir Ahmed Sheikh (35) son of Lassa Sheikh, a resident of Main Chatroo died after a shooting stone hit him while working on Dadpath-Kuchhan road.
As per the details, the deceased was working at the construction site when a shooting stone rolled down from a nearby hilltop and hit him resulting into serious injuries.
After hitting with the stone, other labourers working at the construction site raised alarm and shifted the injured to District Hospital, Kishtwar where he breathed his last.
The deceased was the father of four minor children. Police has registered an FIR and started investigation. After conducting all the legal formalities, the police handed over the dead body to the family members for burial.
