POONCH, Mar 29: A labourer was seriously injured after he was hit by a truck in Gursai area of Mendhar sub division this evening.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place when the labourer, who was travelling on the Tipper jumped down on the road while boarding off the vehicle. Suddenly, a truck No. JK02AE/ 6525 coming from the other side hit the labourer, causing serious injuries.
While the truck driver escaped from the spot, the injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Suran kote. His condition was said to be serious. He has been identified as Mohd Showkat, son of Mohd Sharief, resident of Guli Nad in Gursai. The police has registered a case in this connection.
