JAMMU, Apr 10: A migrant labourer today died due to electrocution at a construction site in Bantalab area falling under the jurisdiction of police post Chinore.
According to a police spokesperson, the labourer identified as Ghanshyam (35) son of Mahesh Ram, a resident of Chhattisgarh (at present Bantalab) inadvertently came in contact with a live wire while working at a construction site in Amar Colony, Bantalab.
In unconscious condition, he was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead. After conducting postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
A case in this regard has been registered and investigations started.
