KATRA, Jan 5: A labourer died and another was critically injured when lintel of an under-construction Guest House building collapsed in Chinta Mani area of Katra, here today.
The mishap took place when slab was being laid on third floor of Raj Guest House building. Two labourers on work were critically injured in the incident. They were rushed to CHC Katra where doctors declared one of them as brought dead.
The deceased labourer was identified as Dhukalu, son of Abad Ram of Chattisgarh. The injured, namely Chander Kumar, son of Daya Ram of Madubani Bihar, has been referred to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his critical condition.
Katra Police has registered a case in this connection under Section 337 RPC.
