JAMMU, Sept 28: The Labour Department here today organised a one day seminar on ‘Labour Laws, Ease of Doing Business and Digitization.’
Commissioner Secretary Labour and Employment, Saurabh Bhagat was the chief guest while leading entrepreneurs of Bari Brahmana and Samba Industrial Estate along with representatives of various labour unions and NGOs also participated in the seminar.
Senior Officers from Department of Industries, CAPD, Provident Fund, ESI etc were also present.
Deliberations were made on various labour laws and recent amendments besides digitization and online process under the ease of doing business.
The Commissioner Secretary listened to the perspective of various stakeholders and assured that the department is and would be working wholeheartedly to mitigate the problems of the labour class and would strive for maximum coverage of the establishments so that the benefits could reach to the grass-root level.
Labour Commissioner, Bashir Ahmed Khan and Deputy Labour Commissioner Jammu Shahnaz Akhter were also present on the occasion.
