JAMMU, Jan 27: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan organized KVS Regional Incentive Award Ceremony-2017 in the Auditorium of Kendriya Vidyalya No-1, Gandhi Nagar, here today.
Shamsher Singh Manhas, MP (Rajya Sabha) was the chief guest on the occasion.
Earlier, TR Choudhary, Principal KV No-1 Jammu presented the welcome address.
The chief guest was presented flower bouquet by S. Sambanna, Deputy Commissioner, KVS Jammu Region.
The programme started with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest. The students recited Sanskrit Shalokas during this ceremony.
In his address, Sambanna apprised the chief guest about the contribution and achievements of KVS Jammu Region in the development of education in the region.
A Cultural programme was presented by the students of different Vidyalayas of Jammu Region.
While speaking on this occasion, Manhas said KVS is a premier organization and Sangathan has been making a progress by leaps and bounds with a holistic approach towards catering quality education in the country. He congratulated the awardees and expected that they will inspire the others to follow them.
Nine teachers and other staff members were honoured with KVS Regional Incentive Awards on this occasion. The staff members who were awarded with KVS Regional Incentive award included SP Sharma PGT(Maths) KV No-1 Akhnoor, Pawan Sharma PGT (History) KV No-1 Udhampur, Niket Sharma TGT (Maths) KV Lakhanpur, Sandhur Singh TGT (Maths) KV No-2 Jammu Cantt, Amardeep Kour TGT(Hindi) KV No-2 Jammu Cantt, Neelam Sharma PRT KV Nagrota, Manjeet Singh TGT(P&HE) KV Miran Sahib, Parshotam Lal Sub-Staff, Account Section KVS, Jammu Region, Yash Paul Sharma Sub-Staff KV No-1 Udhampur, Naseeb Singh TGT (P&HE) KV Sunderbani in the field of BS&G were awarded.
The Swachh Vidyalayas KV Sunjuwan, K.V. Bantalab, K.V. Kistwar and Harit Vidyalayas KV Sunjuwan, KV Bantalab, KV No-2 Akhnoor were also awarded on the occasion.
