KVM discusses development related issues of Kathua

KATHUA, Mar 26: A Core Committee comprising of the members of the Executive Body and Advisory Board of Kathua Vikas Manch (KVM) held a meeting in Mahajan Sabha Hall here the other day under the chairmanship of Sat Pal Gupta, president of the Manch to review the functioning of the Manch and discuss development related issues of Kathua.
The Manch took stock of the current status of demands and grievances projected by the members in the recently held public Darbars by various administrative secretaries of UT of Jammu & Kashmir. A concern over delay in giving practical shape to the assurance given by the authorities on spot was expressed by most of the members, and it was resolved unanimously to continue the efforts in this context.
Some of the members sought the attention of concerned authorities to restore the maintenance of Gair Mumkin pond opposite Easy Day Shopping Complex retrieved and developed by the District Administration about six years back besides developing the Barmora pond in Ward No 21 at the pattern of Birla Park , Kalibari.
The demand of resumption of RTC bus service between Kathua to Pathankot was also raised on this occasion.
Much emphasis was laid over projecting the demand of development and beautification of Parshu Ram Ji Chowk , Dream Land Park Chowk , early functioning of State Bus Stand Kathua, additional entrance for GDC Kathua from canal side and removal of encroachments from foot paths along main roads.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Ram Murti Sharma patron of the Manch, Dr. Paramjeet Sharma its vice president, Col. (retd) V.P Sharma, its general secretary, M. N Sharma former president, Dr. Kuldeep Mahotra ,Mahesh Kumar Gupta, Bansi Lal Gupta, Th. Hem Raj, Rajeev Mahajan, Kuldeep Goswami, Om Parkash Sharma, Shiv Kumar Gupta, Ajay Sharma and many others.
