KVM demands separate district comprising Bani, Billawar, Basholi

KATHUA, Sept 2: Intensifying its demand for the creation of a separate hilly district comprising of Bani, Billawar and Basohli tehsils and promotion of Urdu language in these regions, Kathua Vikas Manch (KVM) as a part of its village to village compaign, held an impressive meeting at Hatli here today.
The farmers, Sarpanchs, Panchs, Numberdars of the adjoining areas and many prominent inhabitants attended the meeting. The representatives of different religious, social organizations and political parties took active part in the deliberations of the meeting.
The speakers expressed concern over the step motherly approach of the authorities and appealed all sections of the society to get united irrespective of caste, creed, social and political bindings for getting the demand conceded to at an earliest.
The meeting was organized at the behest of Om Parkash Sharma and member of advisory board, Vikas Manch.
