JAMMU, Sept 18: Department of Youth Services and Sports, Jammu, organized the Kurash Championship at Sacred Heart College, Paloura, here today.
The competition was officiated by Sunil Abrol, Jatinder Kumar, Mohd. Riaz, Satish Kumar, Nancy Jamwal, Rohit Sadotra and Dheeraj Slariya.
In the Under-14 boys’ category, winners included Ekam Singh (below 25 kg), Rajveer Singh (25-30 kg), Manveer (30-35 kg), Anirudh (35-40 kg), Avikam Singh (40-45 kg), Madhav (45-50 kg), Jawad Ahmed of KV Bantalab (50-55 kg) and Akul Abrol (above 55 kg).
The Under-17 boys’ category saw top positions secured by Tushar Bhagat (below 40 kg), Rishav Kumar (40-45 kg), Rahul Rana (45-50 kg), Mayank Sharma (50-55 kg), Daksh (55-60 kg), Nitan Singh (60-66 kg), Tanish Bhan of KV Bantalab (66-73 kg) and Adarsh (above 73 kg).
In the Under-19 boys’ section, the winners were Mehtab (below 45 kg), Deepak Kalotra (45-50 kg), Adiveer Singh (50-55 kg), Rudra Partap (55-60 kg), Naman Thakur (60-66 kg), Sunish Kalotra (66-73 kg), Pardeuman Verma (73-81 kg) and Rohit Sharma (above 81 kg).
