JAMMU, Apr 23: Congress MLC and former Chief Secretary, B R Kundal kick started the black topping of the link road in Ward 5 of Simbal camp today.
The road was in a very bad condition. On the occasion Sarpanchs Ravinder Singh, Daljeet Singh, Vinod Kumar, Panch Swaran Bhagat and others were present.
Addressing the meeting Mr Kundal said that the PWD is constructing the road so that the better road connectivity facilities are available to people.
He said the demand for black topping of road in the area was made by the villagers before him and with this the people of four Panchayats will be benefited.
Mr Kundal said that his endeavour is that the village people be provided better road connectivity and keeping this thing in mind he has taken initiative for metalling of many roads in the villages.
Besides with Rs 20 crore Central assistance Miran Sahib and RS Pura road is being four laned soon, he added. He said the Vikas programme will continue for the betterment of the people of the area. The people of the area apprised Mr Kundal about the problems being faced by them on account of shortage of drinking water and power cuts. He assured them that these problems will be solved soon.
