Kulgam man arrested for domestic violence

Srinagar, June 19: Police today said to have booked a man for domestic violence in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
In a statement issued, police said that today a woman, a resident of Zangalpora approached Police Station Devsar in a critical condition for assistance from Kulgam police and was shifted to District hospital for necessary medical attention.
Police said that in the meantime a video upload by her on social media was received by Kulgam Police.
Taking cognizance of the matter a police team led by SHO Devsar Jazib Mohammad under the supervision of DySP PC Kulgam Azhar Rashid-JKPS was constituted and the husband of the said woman was arrested.
“Accordingly a Case with FIR No. 37/21 U/S 498A,309,109,323 IPC has been registered in Police Station Devsar and further investigation of the case is going on, reads the statement,” police said.
