RAJOURI, May 28: Senior BJP leader and former MoS vice chairman State Advisory Board for the development of Pahari speaking people J&K Kuldeep Raj Gupta today met coal mine workers at Mogla.
Coal mine workers who are working under JKML Department demanded their regularization.
They said that we are working continually under JKML Department Mogla and Metka for the last 20 years as contractual workers on a life risk without having satisfactory honourium . “We extract 450 kgs coal per day per person on life risk worth Rs 3000 but are being paid only meager amount @300 per day per person which is the violation of the Minimum Wage Act. This is purely injustice with hapless workers” they added
Coal mine workers also urged Kuldeep Raj Gupta of merging JK Mineral into All India Coal.
Gupta assured the coal mine workers that he will take all possible steps in getting their demands redressed. They also demanded early meeting with concerned authorities in Central Government .
