UDHAMPUR, Aug 7: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Ravinder Kumar today placed Principal DIET Kud, Davinder Handoo under suspension as his office was found locked during mid day on Tuesday and issued show cause notice to 26 other staff members placed in the same office.
After receiving public complaints, DC Udhampur directed SDM Chenani to conduct surprise check of the DIET Kud office through Magistrate and submit report. Naib Tehsildar Chenani conducted surprise visit to the said office at 1 pm today and found it locked.
He forwarded the report to the SDM Chenani who forwarded it to the Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur. Taking serious note of the issue, Deputy Commissioner placed Principal DIET, Davinder Handoo under suspension. Rest 26 officials posted there were served show cause notice to explain their position within two days.
Meanwhile, SDM Dudu, Abdul Sattar has been appointed as inquiry officer, who will initiate disciplinary action against the absentees under rules.
