SRINAGAR, Aug 23: Scores of student in Kashmir University campus organized a peaceful rally against the military aggression in Egypt in which hundreds of protestors were killed.
The students were chanting pro-Morsi slogans and were seen carrying pro-Morsi and Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwan-ul-Muslimeen) banners.
“We are denouncing the killings of innocent Muslims in Egypt and the massacres being carried on the behest of America, Saudi-Arabia ruling clan and Israel,” the protesting students shouted.
“The criminal silence of so called western powers and their ally Saudi Arabi about the continuing bloodshed of ordinary people of Egypt reflects their hypocrisy. General Sisi must be jailed and tried for war crimes against people of Egypt,” they said.
The march started from the campus mosque and it was soon joined by hundreds of students and demanded that the military aggression against the protestors be brought to an end.
The protestors alleged that present military regime in Egypt are being funded and encouraged by Israel, America and Saudi king. “Saudi king is scared of Islamic revolution in Egypt and the ruling clan fear that Islamic regime in Egypt would close their chapter and in order to crush pro-Morsi supporters, this ruling clan of Saudi Arabia is lending financial and moral support to Israel,” one of the protestors said.
Earlier, the students and scholars offered prayers in absentia in favour of those pro-Morsi supporters killed by military regime in different shootouts in Egypt from past several days.
The march lasted for nearly an hour after which the students peacefully dispersed.
