KSD, others for separate homeland in Valley

NEW DELHI, June 1: One day Conference on the issue of “Present Political Scenario and Joint community response” was organized by Kashmiri Samiti (KSD) Delhi, here today , in which a cross section of Kashmiri Pandit community representatives comprising of intellectuals, socio-political activists /lawyers and academicians  deliberated for over six hours on the subject matter. Among those who spoke on the subject matter also included  Vijay Raina ,President KSD,Dr. Ajay Chrangoo, Chairman Panun Kashmir,  C.L.Gadoo and Dr. L.N.Dhar, former Presidents KSD, Dr. S.S.Toshkani, Advocate Ashok Bhan and B.L.Wali, Ramesh Manvati, Vijay Tikoo, Kundan Kashmiri and Sushil Pandit.
The conference in toto rejected the proposal of Government to settle the Kashmiri Pandits in separate townships under composite culture saying that it was not possible for displaced Pandits to live with the people responsible for their exodus in 1990.
It reiterated that KPs will only return to a separate homeland where there is free flow of Indian Constitution keeping in view the geo-political aspirations of the community and the GoI should constitute SIT immediately to find out the reasons for the mass exodus of Pandits and identify the people responsible for the same and punish them.
