JAMMU, June 8: The KP Sabha (KPS) Jammu today urged the J&K Government to get the probe into the highly tragic murder of the young police brave heart Sameer Bhat monitored at the highest level in order to bring the culprits to book.
In a statement issued here, today the KPS said in view of the attempt made by vested interests to shield the culprits, the community has lost faith in the probe agencies and it is feared that the SIT constituted might botch up the investigation. Already more than three weeks have elapsed and still there is no clue about the killers. With the recovery of the dead body the investigation must become more intense. The diabolical manner in which the young boy has been killed raises many questions especially in view of the prevailing conditions in the Valley where forces of destabilization have let loose a reign of death and destruction which has assumed large proportions.
The Sabha appealed the Government to ensure that the investigation does not get derailed at any level and that the perpetrators of this heinous crime are brought to book. The entire community is agitated because of the delay caused in the investigation but it appreciates that in spite of the delay the body has been finally recovered. The confidence of the community has got shattered and the only way it can be restored is by a time bound probe and finally by conviction of the culprits.
Sampooran Kashmir Sangthan (SKS) president, Rakesh Kaul while condemning the dastardly act of the SPO demanded a CBI probe into the matter. In a statement here today Kaul said that community has lost faith in the Government which tried to hush up the case initially to cover and protect the SPO by framing concocted stories.
