KPs, academicians ridicule statement of NPM

JAMMU, Sept 3: A group of Kashmiri Pandit academicians, Army officers, bureaucrats, social activists, who converged at Press Club Jammu on August, 31 to debate on the issues concerning hopes, apprehensions and realities with regard to return of Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) to Valley, denied the media reports that it was organised under the banner of National Peace Movement (NPM).
KPs, who had participated in the seminar on the request of Dr R L Dhar and Prof B L Zutshi, strongly denied the contents of news item appeared on September 2 regarding the reporting of the seminar and said.
It was attended by intellectuals, social activists and the prominent citizens, who highlighted the issues regarding hopes, apprehensions and ground realities in Kashmir Valley with regard to the much talked about return and rehabilitation polity of Government of India.
There was neither any conclusion drawn from this debate nor any roadmap with regard to return was finalised as is being projected in the said news item which is totally baseless, mischievous and concocted to divide the community.
