KPJF organizes seminar on “Ulema’s Responsibility in Safety of Country”

Srinagar, July 4: The Kashmir Peace and Justice Forum (KPJF) today organized a seminar on “Ulema’s Responsibility in Ensuring National Security” in Srinagar, aiming to promote peace, unity, and brotherhood.
A spokesperson for the forum said the seminar took place at the Conference Hall of the Hotel Opera Inn, Chattabal, in the Bemina area, and witnessed the presence of religious scholars, intellectuals, and social activists from across India.
He informed that Agha Syed Abbas Rizvi, the Chairman of JKPJF, expressed concern about the escalating drug abuse problem in the Valley. He urged religious scholars and community elders to combat narco-terrorism and guide the youth towards constructive engagement and developmental activities.
He said that Molana Syed Saayim Mehdi, one of the speakers, emphasized the crucial role of Ulema in providing accurate interpretations of the Quran and Hadith, thereby fostering a prosperous and peaceful country.
He added that Syed Hussain Mehdi Rizvi urged educated Muslims to diligently research and verify information on social media platforms to prevent the spread of extremism. He said Ashok Kumar Pandit Karihaloo, a Hindu speaker, highlighted the significance of peace, inclusive development, and building trust among communities.
