KPC warns against disbanding of VDCs

JAMMU, Jan 2: Kundan Kashmiri president Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) in a meeting at New Delhi today while reiterating and supporting the demand of one Constitution, one flag and one leader in the State of J&K, reiterated the demand of abrogation of Article 370.
Holding NC responsible for the present mess and controversies, he said the Party right from 1947 misled the people on various issues which included the State’s merger with the India.
KPC has also taken serious exception to reported move of the Government to disband the VDCs in the State and Kashmiri said that the VDCs have done a yeoman’s service to the State to eliminate the militancy and are working shoulder to shoulder with security forces in combating terrorism in the State and their services be properly utilized for this purpose.
He said that it was due to their efforts and service to the nation and to State in particular, that the mass migration of Hindus from hilly areas of Jammu region was stopped and the game plan of separatists and Pakistan was thwarted to a great extent.
Kundan Kashmiri further stated that disbanding of VDCs would be a Himalayan blunder on the part of the Govt. as it was done in respect of Pro- Indian Ikhwans and other renegades who were ignored, isolated and rather allowed to get eliminated.
KPC again reiterated its demand for the pilgrimage to world famous Sharda Shrine situated in Muzaffrabad in PoK by the Hindus of the world and urged the Union Government to take up the issue with Pakistan Government in a scheduled foreign ministers meeting to be held on January 15,2016.
